Bobrovsky Dominates Again As The CBJ Defeat The Devils 2-0

The Columbus Blue Jackets beat the New Jersey Devils for the second game in a row.  This time the victory was on a Tuesday night at Nationwide Arena by a final score of 2-0.

Sergei Bobrovsky is a man on fire.

On Tuesday night he recorded his third shutout in a row with 33 saves and has now gone four games without allowing a goal in regulation.

Bobrovsky commented on the defense helping him out after the victory:

They were unbelievable once again.

The game was knotted up at 0-0 until the 9:39 mark in the third period when center Sam Gagner was behind the net and found an open Oliver Bjorkstrand, who beat Devils goaltender Keith Kinkaid top shelf.

Bjorkstrand described his experience with Gagner on the ice after the game.

He’s a really good playmaker…when he gets the puck you gotta try to find an…open area and he can lay the puck in there.

Cam Atkinson added a second goal while the net was empty for the Devils with 1:16 remaining for good measure.

The Blue Jackets continued to look solid defensively, but didn’t exactly have an offensive performance to write home about.

In the end the team got what it was looking for.  Two points.

The CBJ will be back in action on Friday evening when they’ll host the Buffalo Sabres.
