CBJ Go For Three Consecutive Victories: Head North To Toronto For A Matchup With The Maple Leafs

The Columbus Blue Jackets (29-23-4) will be in Canada this evening for a matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs (34-19-5).  The puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 7:00 PM ET.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be heading into Toronto, Canada with plenty of confidence after winning their last two hockey games by a combined score of 10-2.

They’ll need every edge they can get, especially considering the CBJ are on the back end of a back-to-back coming off a victory over the Islanders last night and the Leafs are an impressive 18-8-2 at home this season.

However, the last time the Jackets visited Toronto it was in fact on the back end of a back-to-back and the CBJ were victorious by a final score of 3-2 in overtime.  That game was played in early January, with Columbus scoring twice in the final five minutes of regulation to tie the score despite going to a shootout with the Florida Panthers on the previous evening.

The Maple Leafs come into tonight’s game riding high; winners of their last four games (all at home).

Can the CBJ conquer the odds and get three consecutive victories for the first time since November, or will the Leafs simply be too much to handle?  We’ll just have to wait and find out…

I decided instead of moving somewhere else, I'd stay here in Columbus, Ohio and start a website that embraces what the 614 has to offer.
