The Columbus Blue Jackets (15-9-2) and Calgary Flames (16-9-2) will face one another tonight at Nationwide Arena. The puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 7:00 PM ET.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have gone 3-3-0 in their last six games, but have a chance to impress their fans this week with home matchups against the division-leading Flames (this evening) and Washington Capitals (Saturday night).
The CBJ are 4-0-1 in their last five games at NWA–not losing in regulation at home since the month of October.
Calgary comes in hot, leaders of the Pacific Division and going 6-2-0 in their last eight games. Watch out for Johnny Gaudreau, who has 10 goals and 21 assists so far and Center Sean Monahan, who leads the Flames with 15 goals. Calgary is quite balanced, ranked eighth in goals per game and ninth in goals allowed.
Columbus will have their hands full tonight. We’ll see if they can continue to rack up the points on home ice.
