CBJ Attempt To End Losing Streak In Colorado Against Struggling Avs

The Columbus Blue Jackets (28-20-3) will be in Colorado tonight to face the Avalanche (22-21-8). Puck drop is scheduled for shortly after 9:00 PM ET.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have lost five consecutive games and the trade rumors seem like they may finally be having a negative impact on the club. That can be parlayed with the fact that there doesn’t seem to be a hands-down starting goaltender for the club. Predicting the starter seems as random as picking red or black in a game of roulette.

While the Jackets are craving a victory to end their recent drought, the Avalanche have had a pretty rough stretch themselves-losing three straight games (all in their home building) by three goals or more.

The CBJ have hopes of Center Boone Jenner returning to the lineup. Columbus has lost the last three games that he’s missed. Also, the team was practicing with some unique lines atop the lineup, we’ll see if that goes into effect on Tuesday night when the game begins.

There’s plenty on the line for both teams tonight, who are trying to right the ship and put themselves into a better position to reach the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
